“Doctor!” You screamed through sobs, letting go of the side of the door to reach out for his hand.

“(Y/n)!” He said grabbing your hand and struggling to pull you back inside.

“Doctor if we keep that open much longer we will run out of air!” A man named Jonathan said fiercely.

“And (Y/n) will die!” The Doctor roared back as your hand slipped. “Don’t you dare close the airlock!”

“IF I DON’T WE WILL ALL DIE!”

“AND IF YOU DO (Y/N) DIES!”

“Doctor! I’ll be fine. I promise. I’m not worth the lives of these people” You said trying to sound brave.

“Don’t say that.” He said tears running down his face. “You’re easily worth more than all the life in the universe.”

“No Doctor. I’m really not. If my death means you and these people get to live than that’s okay with me...really….trust me…” You said.

“(Y/n) please….please don’t go. I love you.”

“And I, you Doctor.” You said taking a deep breath and letting go of the door.

Jonathan closed the airlock as soon as you let go.

“(Y/N)!” The Doctor screamed pound on the door once before running to his TARDIS.

“I-I need to save her. Quick think! Damn it!” He mumbled as he slammed the doors behind him.

The TARDIS whirred disapprovingly.

“We can still save her!” He snapped.

It whirred again, this time louder.

“....You’re right….” He said sitting down. “The moment she entered space she would have either run out of air and died or all the fluids in her body would have boiled…” He said crying. “(Y/n)....why did you have to go?”

~Years later, Doctor’s POV~

The Doctor frowned as he sat up, on the floor of the TARDIS. He straightened his bowtie.

“Where did you take me?” He asked the TARDIS. He had just dropped Clara off after taking her to the Rings of Akhaten.

The TARDIS stayed silent and opened it’s doors. He stood up, only to be knocked down again. When he looked up he was met with the face of a girl. By the looks of her she had been crying. As soon as she entered the TARDIS closed the doors and locked them.

The girl opened her eyes and screamed, practically launching herself off the startled Time Lord. She backed away but stopped as she hit the doors. She looked behind her and gasped. She then looked around and began crying.

~Normal POV~

“Er….are you okay? Where did you come from?” The Doctor asked.

You didn’t answer him. You instead hugged him tightly, sobbing into his chest.

He awkwardly hugged you back.

“D-Do I know you?” He asked, having no idea who you were.

“You’re the Doctor right?” You asked letting him go.

“Yeah”

“Then you should...don’t you remember me? I’m (Y/n)...”

“Sorry. I don’t think I do.”

“But….D-Doctor...you have to….I mean obviously you regenerated and came back for me….why you couldn’t have done that before you regenerate...I don’t know…”

“Sorry. I don’t think I know you.

“But you have to”

He frowned. “You met one of my recent regenerations?”

You nodded.

He grabbed your shoulders lightly and brought his face closer to yours. Less than an inch away from touching. “Would you give me your permission to form a psychic link with you, examine your memories?”

“Yeah of course.”

He touched his forehead to yours. Images flashed in his head. Your memories. He entered a memory of you as a child, looking up at a man with big ears and and leather jacket.

“Pardon me mister.” Your young voice said timidly. “Who are you?”

“Well aren’t you polite! Don’t see that often in human children these days!” He beamed. “Hello! I’m the Doctor! And what about you? What’s your name?”

You smiled. “I’m (Y/n). I like your accent the Doctor! You sound like your from North England. What are you doing in America?”

“Well can you keep a secret?” He asked kneeling down so his eyes were level with yours.

You nodded, you had recently learned about secrets and you knew they were serious business.

“I’m not from here exactly.”

“Well I knew that! You don’t have an American accent!”

“No I mean I’m not from Earth.”

You gasped at this. “You’re not?”

He smiled again. “Nope. From a planet called Gallifrey. My spaceship” He paused and pointed out the glass door. You could see a blue box. Was that his spaceship?  “Detected something dangerous here and I was just checking it out when you came downstairs.”

You immediately looked towards your parents room upstairs. “I gotta wake up mommy and daddy! I don’t want them to be in danger!”

There was a loud scream and a huge animalistic growl seconds later, coming from upstairs.

“Mommy!” You screamed starting to run toward the stairs only to have the Doctor grab you and pull you away.

“Don’t go up there. I’ll handle it. They’ll be fine I promise!” He said rushing up the stairs.

You whimpered and started crying as you heard more sickening sounds coming from upstairs. It was then that you thought to yourself why you trusted this mysterious man so quickly. Your parents had always told you to not talk to strangers after all. You plugged your ears and closing your eyes, deciding he was just the nice kind of stranger.

~5 minutes later~

The sounds had stopped. Abruptedly. You assumed it to be safe now. The Doctor must’ve handled it like he said! You smiled and rushed up the stairs, excited to see the looks on your parents faces when they met the Doctor. Maybe your parents and him could become bestest friends! And then he could be over all the time! You almost skidded to a halt at your parents door.

“Mommy daddy!” You cried happily, not yet seeing the state of the room.

“(Y/n) no! Close your eyes!” The Doctor rushed to you trying to stop you from seeing anything.

But it was too late. The looks on your parents faces was pure terror. They were in piles of ripped flesh and puddles of blood. They weren’t moving. You shoved out of the Doctor’s way with slight difficulty and rushed to their sides.

“M-Mommy? Da-Daddy? Wake up!” You sobbed. “I-I’ll get you a bandaid and then we can go get ice cream and you’ll feel better! L-Like when I scraped my knee last week!”

“(Y/n)....”

“Doctor come on w-we gotta get bandaids! And we need to wake mommy and daddy up!” You said, starting to hyperventilate.

“Bandaids can’t help them….”

“Then wh-wh-what c-c-can?”

“Nothing...their dead….I’m sorry….I’m so sorry.”

“N-No! They aren’t! You said they’d be okay!”

“I really am sorry”

“D-D-Doctor! Yo-You lied to me! You s-s-s-said they’d b-be alright! Make th-them wake up! F-Fix it!”

He picked you up and you struggled fiercely. You didn’t want to be picked up. Especially not right now and not by him.

He set you outside the room and quickly closed the door. Pulling something out of his leather jacket that resembled a...actually you had no idea what it resembled. He pressed a button and it made a noise, the tip lighting up and you heard the lock click. You started beating on the back of his legs as hard as you could. It didn’t affect him as much as you hoped. He moved out of the way and you began pounding on the door.

Your sobs and screams for your parents faintly echoed as the memory faded to black. Then there was another memory. You were about 10 now. Sitting on a white mattress in a small dark room.

“And you can forget about getting any food tonight you ungrateful bitch!” A man screamed slamming a panel on the door shut.

You frowned. Reaching above you, you pulled on a chain and a small light bulb flickered on. Surrounding you were drawings of the mysterious Doctor and the blue box he supposedly traveled in. As you grew older you learned to properly understand what happened to your parents. You had forgiven the Doctor for what happened long ago. Though he probably didn’t know. You hadn’t seen him since that night. But you hoped to. Under non deadly circumstances of course.

After you cried a bit you fell asleep only to be woken up by a whirring noise. A very familiar noise. The noise of the blue box.
This won't be much of a series as a small story in parts. 2-3 max.
