Cameras and bugs (BruceXReader)

“Hey Doctor Banner….I um...I brought you some coffee….and some food too. JARVIS said you haven’t eaten for a while. I hope you like chinese.” You said softly.

He didn’t answer you. You set the cartons of food and coffee down and bit your lip.

“U-Um….Doctor Banner?” You asked tapping his shoulder.

He jolted and before you knew it his hands were around your neck. His eyes widened when he saw it was you. He quickly let go and stumbled back. You coughed once and then sat down on a table. Trying to figure out if what just happened actually happened.

“I-I just wanted to give you some food and stuff…” You started to say.

He hugged you tightly and you squeaked, a small blush tinting your cheeks. “I’m so sorry (Y/n)! I was asleep and when you tapped me...I had thought someone was trying to kill me.”

“It’s alright Doctor Banner. I’ve been choked before. And for the record.” You said noticing how nice he smelled. It was making your brain go fuzzy. “I would never ever try to kill you. I lo-” You stopped quickly, noticing what you were about to say. “Li-like you….”

He nodded and let you go, inspecting your neck. “Ah...well I didn’t leave bruises and you seem fine. Again I am so sorry (Y/n) I would never intentionally hurt you. I care about you.”

You smiled weakly. “It’s okay Doctor Banner. I promise.”

“And (Y/n)....please call me Bruce.”

“Okay Bruce.” You said already liking saying that more than Doctor Banner. “I hope you enjoy your food.” You said walking out of the room.

As soon as you were sure Bruce couldn’t see you, you raced to your room. Shutting the door you leaned against it, slowly sliding down to the floor and groaning.

~Back in the lab~

“Hey Doctor Banner” Tony said mocking your tone of voice.

“I’m guessing you saw what happened?” Bruce asked with a sigh.

“Only when you were hugging her” Tony replied with a grin. “I just finished bugging all the rooms and putting hidden cameras in there as well. I think someone is stealing stuff of mine.”

Bruce rolled his eyes. “First of all. That’s an invasion of privacy. Secondly you can just buy more stuff!”

“Well look.” Tony sat beside Bruce and a 3D projection image of you came up.

Bruce frowned. “She’s probably scared of me. I kind of tried to choke her”

Tony turned on the sound and Bruce listened closely.

“I’m an idiot!” You said to yourself, still against the door. “I’m a bloody idiot! He tried to choke me and yet I’m not a single bit mad at him and even less scared!” You groaned again and flopped on your bed. “Why did I have to fall in love with him?”  

Bruce was stunned and Tony was grinning like an idiot. “Best idea I’ve ever had” Tony muttered.

“I doubt he’d even want to date me anyways….I mean he seems to afraid that “the other guy” might come out and hurt the person he’s dating. I can understand that right?” You asked yourself.

You growled and rolled off the bed, staring at the underside of your bed stand. Tony went pale.

“What in the…..” You said picking the object off it. You recognized it as a bug and your finger tips began to heat up and the small eletronic device was fried and reduced to ashes.

Tony gasped. “I paid good money for that! Now how are we going to hear her?”  

“MR.STARK I SWEAR I’M GOING TO BLOODY KILL YOU!!!!!!” You roared.

Bruce smirked as the both of them could hear it loud and clear from thier spot downstairs. “That loud enough for you?”

“And this is where I run….” Tony said setting the tablet down and running to hide somewhere.

Bruce walked out of the lab and you bumped into him. You stopped and sighed knowing he probably heard everything you said.

“Do you have the same feelings for me that I have for you?” You asked.

Bruce nodded. You smiled and pulled him towards you, kissing him on the lips for a total of 9 seconds before pulling away. He got over his shock quickly before kissing you again.

“Should I reserve a room for you two?” Tony asked with a wide grin on his face.

You pulled away and glared at him. Tony gulped as your hair lit on fire.

“You bugged my room?!” You asked furiously.

Tony gulped again and reluctantly nodded. You growled and took a step forward, to which Tony reacted to by running as fast as he could.

“You’re my secretary! I have the best lawyers! You can’t hurt me!” Tony said once you began to run after him.

“Doesn't mean I can't scared the shit out of you!” You replied throwing a fireball at his head and making it curve so it singed the hair on the back of his neck off.

He yelped and ran toward his suit room. "JARVIS OPEN THE MARK FIVE! I'M GONNA NEED IT!!!!!!!!"

"I CAN BURN THAT TOO YA KNOW!"





~Extended ending~

You and Bruce were laying on the couch eating ice cream and watching (favorite movie). You smiled at him and he smiled back.

“(Y/n)...”

“Yeah Bruce?”

“Why do you take on a British accent when you get angry?”

“Don’t know. I take on a British accent when I get excited as well. No more talking. Watch the movie. I still can't believe you haven't seen this.”

“Alright….I love you (Y/n)”

“Love you too Bruce.”
